Newspaper Membership

Belonging to the Atlantic Community Newspapers Association has many benefits:

• We market your newspaper to agencies and corporations
• We prepare estimates, proposals and represent member papers at networking events throughout Atlantic Canada
• We book advertising orders and liaise with client and creative team to ensure you have your ad copy on time
• We invoice clients and provide proof of run on your behalf
• We pay members as close to 30 days as possible. In many cases, we pay our members well before we get paid.
• We maintain your information on the CMC website which makes it easy for media planners to include your newspapers in national and regional buys
• Member papers may access our industy's Government Representative in Ottawa and Brand Management Director in Toronto
• You get access to the latest statistics Canada data on your newspaper distribution area through Market Analyzer
• You may upload your newspaper to our Digital Archive at no cost to your newspaper
• Access to the members-only section of our website to stay informed of the latest industry and association information
• Enter the annual Better Newspaper Competition
• Attend our annual conference each spring with networking opportunities and educational sessions
• Your newspaper is entitled to carry the name and logo of the Association
• Members are entitled to vote at the annual general meeting of the association and to attend any meeting of the Board of Directors or the Publishers.
